Doug started working in residential construction at a early age, when he would work with his father, Don, in his roofing business D.D.Foster Roofing Company. After graduating from Moon High School, Doug went to Penn State University, where he obtained an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then transferred to the University of Pittsburgh, where he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, along with many Civil Engineering credits.
Upon Graduation from college in 1987, Doug tried his hand at an office position but was unhappy with having to be indoors all the time, so he went back to work with his father. Doug then made the decision to start his own company, and Foster Construction Inc. was born. Doug is able to help you with every aspect of your job, because of his college education and his work experience on the job. This means he can suggest ideas in your planning stages as well as make recommendations to maximize your dollars spent. Doug does prefer that the initial plans and drawings lay with the customer and their architect to keep costs manageable.
